Calculator Free for Windows 8 is a calculator application for Windows PCs.

Have you ever looked at the calculator included with Windows and thought that it just wasn't enough? Not in terms of doing basic math, of course - a calculator is pretty much a calculator on that score. You may not have even thought about scientific notation or the multiple functions you might need to do the high-level math. No, you don't like the standard calculator because it just isn't pretty enough for you to use on a regular basis. If your math just doesn't work because it's not aesthetically pleasing, you need Calculator Free for Windows 8.

Calculator Free doesn't do anything special. It's as basic of a calculator as you can get. It doesn't have any special functions. Instead, it adds a few backgrounds that are relatively tasteful and relaxing. This is the computer equivalent of putting stickers on the back of a calculator case, except in this case the calculator will sometimes show you intrusive ads. These aren't the worst pop-ups in the world, but you're going to have your aesthetic groove ruined by ads almost every time you open up the program. It's an odd choice, but it's one that has become increasingly common with free software.

You do not need Calculator Free for Windows 8. There are better calculators out there, including the default Windows Calculator. If you really need relaxing images while you do basic math, you can at least console yourself with the fact that this application is totally free. It's amazing that anyone would want to download it, but there are probably a few people who think the backgrounds are an integral part of doing math.
